What was your first job?
My first job was timekeeping hockey games. I was always in the arena, anyway, and so I figured I might as well get paid.
What do you do to unwind?
I love to travel, and I love to collect and enjoy vinyl records. Even with a busy family life I can always find time to enjoy where I am and what I am listening to.
What is your single most important piece of preventive health advice?
To diversify your health portfolio. There are many aspects to your health. You need to ensure that they are all taken care of. Finding balance is important. If one piece is suffering, you can depend on the strength of others.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Pay yourself first!
What keeps you inspired?
Being part of my patients’ life at critical moments is extremely rewarding. My patients choose to come to Medisys and they rely on us as a resource to improve their lives. Contributing to the success stories around me make me feel proud.
What is the one health lesson you have learned that you want everyone to know?
Getting physically stronger is an important part of aging well. I love to pick up heavy things. And I encourage my patients to find the inspiration to do that same.
Medisys is regularly publishing downloadable content, articles, webinars (and much more) to help support our community and clients.
